When you say "non-ACGME" electives does that mean that hospital does not residencies in those areas? If so, how important would this be for licensure/residency application? Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteCorrect, they do not have residency programs in that rotation nor do they have residents from other programs rotate there. For licensure/residency it depends on the state whether or not it matters. I wanted to play it safe so I'm doing all my rotations at ACGME accredited locations. If you want more information, go to this post http://fromthemidwesttothewestindies.blogspot.com/2015/01/clinicals.html it describes ACGME accreditation a little more
